The boundary of a button
Using Muhit to separate a view, a user decision and an actual operation.

A model proposing a “Publish” button does not create permission to publish. The Muhit essay separates three responsibilities: the component definition, the application’s permissions and the operation’s result.
Consider a small interface experiment: show the same proposal first as a view, then as a change preview, and finally as an operation result. Which record will change, which version is being used, and what actually happened? Are those facts visible?
Open question: Can the user distinguish the system’s suggestion from their own choice by looking at the screen?
Connections: Does proposing an interface grant permission to act?
